Hey everyone! We had the 2022 Santana surf contest today. I was stoked to head down to the beach to support our surf guides Heyner and Anthony. It was rad to see Anthony put on the jersey for the very first time and also have the opportunity to see Heyner lay down a solid effort at his home break. It was raining all day, the winds were onshore, the tide was low with below sea level dredgers, but the stoke level was high. It was a back and forth battle all day long, but our head surf guide Heyner stayed focused and did what he needed to do to get the win. Congratulations Heyner!!! You are the 2022 Santana Champion!!! The announcer and judges were hard at work this morning.
The first heats were tough. Our head surf guide Heyner was battling rain and low tide drainers.
Our surf guide Anthony put on a jersey and surfed a heat. We are all proud of him!
