Hey everyone!  I went to check out the early morning surfing at the reef break today.  There were only a few people out enjoying the calm, glassy and peaceful conditions.  We have a new swell starting to fill in and the forecast is looking great for the next few days.  Get out there and go surfing for the dream!  It's February in southern Nicaragua and it is going off!  Check out the gallery below...

It is always a good feeling when you make it over the top of a set wave. I wonder if there was another one behind it?
Early morning peaks with no one on it right when I walked up. Only the birds were enjoying the view.
What a great morning to glide on the empty, peaceful waves in southern Nicaragua. I should have brought my board.
This chica was commanding the line up and finding some fun lines to cruise on.
When the charger and master photographer Jan says, "shoot when I run thru the birds," you start shooting. If you have spent any significant time in Nicaragua you know that this guy is a legend!
The early mornings at the reef break are the best time to score glassy waves.
It is really hard to always be in the right spot at this reef break. Waves will come from all different directions. Sometimes you just have to be patient and not go crazy chasing peaks.
