Dark Reef Break Surf

Hello everyone!  It was a dark reef break surf around 4:30 pm today.  The water was warm, but the skies were dark and the rain was moving in.  The winds were very light offshore providing some very special glassy waves at the reef break.  Only 3 guys were out enjoying the solid 3 to 5 foot waves that the Pacific Ocean is blessing us with.  After I took a few pictures, I ran back to put the camera up and grab my board to catch a few dreamers before it got dark.  Check out the gallery below...

The inside was dishing out some dream a-frames. The only problem is you are rolling the dice sitting this far in, because when the sets come it is hard to dodge them.
When standing at the waters edge it was hard to see over the waves stacking up on the horizon.
Alberto was the king of the peak, choosing a high line on this one.
This guy was surfing the new, random river mouth right at the north end of the beach. He was having a look at this one.
Hindsight is 20/20. He should have gone.
Another lucky surfer out at the reef break today scored a fun looking left. This was the last picture I took and then I grabbed my board to catch a few before it got dark.
Nicaragua is the land of lefts, but the right at the reef break goes on forever.
Alberto was below sea level on this bombing right. He was one of three people out there catching some glassy dreamers.
