Hello friends!  I got out the door for the early morning reef break check.  I found absolutely no surfers this early in the morning.  I reckon they were all sleeping in and waiting for the tide to fill in some more since the swell is still pretty small.  This was my only chance in my busy day to grab the daily surf report photos, so I was up at 5:30 AM to get the shots.  We have solid swell on the way for the month of May so stay tuned.  Stay safe and be smart.  Check out the gallery below...

It wasn't too early to find some fishermen working hard to provide for their families.
I did see a few small waves peeling right that looked fun to me. If I didn't have such a busy day planned I would have been out there with my soft top or twin fin fish.
I found only a few lonely walkers on this beach early in the morning. I reckon they feel very fortunate to be here right now. I sure know I do.
I look north into the close out dumpers. Could you make it? Nah, I don't think so.
The left is normally a touch shorter in distance than the right, but this one looked fun enough to me. Dreamers in southern Nicaragua 365 days a year.
I was trying to see if there was anyone down south at the beach break, but I couldn't find any surfers there either. I think everyone was waiting for the tide to fill in a bit more.
While taking pictures I wasn't sure if I was getting enough content with the empty waves so I took a few wildlife shots. This was my favorite. This estuary will be filling up soon as we are entering the rainy season.
This was the set wave of the day while I was checking the surf. I was only only the beach for 20 minutes or so, so I figure it got a little better when the tide came up.
